Sustainable, urban farming was the feature at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) this summer with the exhibit being viewed by approximately 5,000 people per week. Thirty different fruits, vegetables and herbs, in fifty-one varieties, were grown as part of the exhibit with the harvested crops being used in the MoMA restaurant. The plants for the exhibit were grown in Smart Pots, a fabric container that releases heat and promotes fibrous rooting.
